This is our privacy policy. We’ve written it in plain language because we think you deserve to actually understand what happens with your information — not wade through pages of legal jargon. 1. Who we are
We are Zinvate, a digital marketing agency and software company based in Al Qouz, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We help small and medium businesses across Dubai and the UAE grow through SEO, paid advertising, social media management, web design, and our Zinvate POS software.
When this policy says “we”, “us”, or “Zinvate”, it means our company. When it says “you”, it means you — a visitor to our website, a person who fills in one of our forms, or someone who gets in touch with us.
Our website is zinvate.com. If you have any questions about this policy, our contact details are at the bottom of this page.
2. What information we collect
We only collect information that actually helps us do our job — which is to respond to your enquiry or provide you with our services. Here is what we collect:
- Contact form submissions: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message field when you fill in a form on our website.
- WhatsApp messages: if you reach out to us via WhatsApp, we receive your name and phone number as shown in your WhatsApp profile, along with your messages.
- Email newsletter subscriptions: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name.
- Website usage data: basic analytics about how people use our website — which pages were visited, how long someone stayed, which country they’re browsing from, and what device or browser they used. This data is aggregated and not tied to any specific individual.
- Cookies: small files that our website places on your browser to remember your preferences and help us understand how our site is being used. More on this in section 5.
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as ID numbers, financial details, or passport information unless you specifically share it with us as part of a service engagement — and even then, only with your explicit consent.
3. Why we collect it
We collect your information for straightforward reasons:
- To respond to your enquiry when you fill in a contact form or message us on WhatsApp.
- To provide our services to you if you become a client — we need your contact details to communicate with you and deliver the work.
- To send you our newsletter if you subscribed — and only if you subscribed. We do not add people to our email list without their permission.
- To understand how our website is performing so we can improve it. We use basic analytics for this — nothing invasive.
- To comply with UAE law where applicable, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
4. How we use your information
Your information is used only for the purpose it was collected. Specifically:
- If you sent us an enquiry, we use your contact details to reply to you — nothing else, unless you become a client.
- If you are a client, we use your details to manage our working relationship, deliver services, send invoices, and communicate about your projects.
- If you subscribed to our newsletter, we use your email address to send you marketing updates, tips, and insights about digital marketing in Dubai. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Ever. This is not something we do or will ever do.
5. Cookies and website tracking
Our website uses cookies. Here is what that actually means in plain terms: a cookie is a small text file that gets saved in your browser when you visit a website. It helps the website remember things — like that you’ve already seen a popup, or how you arrived at the site.
We use the following types of cookies on zinvate.com:
- Essential cookies: these are required for the website to work properly. Without them, things like contact forms won’t function. You cannot opt out of these.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): these help us understand how visitors use our site — which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and how long they stay. The data is anonymised and we cannot use it to identify you personally.
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel): if you’ve seen an ad for Zinvate on Google or Instagram, these cookies are what make that possible. They help us show our ads to people who have previously visited our site. You can opt out of these through your browser settings or Google’s ad settings.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies — though blocking essential cookies may stop parts of our website from working.
6. WhatsApp and email communications
When you message us on WhatsApp, your conversation is stored within the WhatsApp platform, which is governed by Meta’s own privacy policy. We keep a record of our WhatsApp conversations with clients and potential clients for business purposes — to refer back to what was discussed and to provide continuity of service.
If you email us, we keep a record of that correspondence for the same reason.
If you subscribed to our email newsletter through our website, we use an email marketing platform to send you emails. Your email address is stored on that platform. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send, or by emailing us directly at contact@zinvate.com.
We do not send marketing messages to people who haven’t asked to receive them. If you filled in a contact form to ask about our services, we will reply to your enquiry — but we will not add you to our marketing list without your separate consent.
7. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: we use third-party tools to run our business — things like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and email marketing platforms. These tools process some of your data on our behalf. They are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: if we are required by UAE law or a court order to share information, we will comply. We will notify you if this happens, unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
- Business transfers: if Zinvate is ever sold or merged with another company, your data may be transferred to the new owner. If this happens, we will notify you and ensure your data continues to be protected.
That is the complete list. There are no other circumstances in which we share your personal data.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as we actually need it:
- Enquiries that didn’t become clients: we keep contact form submissions and WhatsApp enquiries for up to 12 months, then delete them.
- Active client records: we keep your data for the duration of our working relationship and for 3 years after it ends — for accounting, legal, and reference purposes.
- Newsletter subscribers: we keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove you from our mailing list within 7 days.
- Website analytics: anonymised analytics data is retained for up to 26 months, which is the default Google Analytics retention period.
9. Your rights
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and applicable international standards, you have real rights over your data. Here is what you can ask us to do:
- Access: ask us what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correction: if any of your information is wrong or out of date, ask us to correct it.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information. We will do this unless we have a legal reason to keep it.
- Opt out of marketing: stop receiving our newsletter or marketing emails at any time — either via the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us.
- Withdraw consent: if you gave us consent to use your data for something specific, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@zinvate.com. We will respond within 7 business days.
We will never make it difficult for you to exercise your rights. If you want your data deleted, just ask — no lengthy process, no questions designed to put you off.
10. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to other websites — including our social media profiles on Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Once you click a link and leave zinvate.com, this privacy policy no longer applies.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any website you visit, especially before sharing personal information.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy — for example, if we start collecting a new type of data or change how we use existing data — we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date at the top.
We will not notify you by email every time we make a minor wording update. But if anything meaningfully changes about how we handle your data, we will make that clear.
We recommend checking this page occasionally if data privacy is important to you.
12. Contact us
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, want to exercise your data rights, or just want to know more about how we handle information — please get in touch. We’re straightforward people and we’ll give you a straight answer.
